Join West Hume Landcare for a Community Planting Day!
This year we will be enhancing two special woodlands with ground covers and shrubs. This will involve hand-planting seedlings and distributing clay seed balls.
We will be planting over 400 shrubs and ground covers

Have fun, make a difference and connect with nature!
Please bring along gloves, sturdy footwear, favourite digging tool, hat, drink bottle and weather appropriate clothes.
Morning session 9.00-11.30am at “Thurso” Burrumbuttock
Afternoon session 1.00-3.30pm at “Roseview” Walla Walla
Directions will be sent to those registered prior to the day.
Come for one or both planting sessions!
Bring along a picnic lunch to enjoy between sessions in the grounds of beautiful Wirraminna in Burrumbuttock.

A program to assist landholders to protect waterways through changed land management practices including erosion prevention and early intervention.

Community and Scientists working together to discover our local plants and animals and actions to protect them. This event has something for everyone – Birds, Frogs, Bugs, Weeds, Pests, Reptiles, Nestboxes and more!
Enhancing the biosecurity & biodiversity value of shelterbelts
Join West Hume Landcare for a walk and talk at Judy & Roger Frankenberg’s property, followed by morning tea. Hear about how they have created a biodiversity hotspot at “Warrangee”. Our other speakers include:
· Lou Bull, Squirrel Glider LAMP project who will discuss the importance of shelterbelts for Squirrel Gliders
· Ben Humphries, BirdLife Australia who will lead a bird walk and talk and share tips and tricks on how to encourage and support bird diversity on farms
· Dr Mark Stillman our new District Vet from Murray Local Land Services, who will be on hand to discuss the biosecurity benefits of shelterbelts
· Dr Mason Crane, NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust who will share his knowledge on how to enhance the biodiversity value of shelterbelts.
What to bring: Sturdy shoes, hat, drink bottle, binoculars
